Cervis Email, Social. and Trade Show Marketing
Building upon the previous examples of my work with Cervis, Inc., a truly multi-channel integrated campaign must to include email and social media components as well as physical presence at trade shows that are critical to sales success in the manufacturing sector.
The primary social channel used by Cervis is LinkedIn due to its reach among the manufacturing industries. Cervis also possesses a strong email contact list based on the relationships built through sales and service of their products over their 30+ year existence. The images top and center right reflect social postings driving sales of remote controls systems and explaining the repair process in greater detail.
The email list had become somewhat cumbersome and outdated and was culled to include only the most engaged customers, marketing to those most likely buy or recommend Cervis products to their representatives. In conjunction, new contacts were added via trade show appearances and factory visits.
In addition, a new trade show presence (bottom right) was designed to include the rebranding that had been completed the prior year. The new booth accentuated the new marketing vision and proved successful in driving sales while completing the need to stand apart from the competition.
Upper St. Clair Fire Department Membership Marketing Campaign
The Borough of Upper St. Clair was seeking to revitalize their fundraising efforts to better serve their community. An integrated campaign was designed featuring a direct mail component (shown) along with social media and website channel marketing efforts.
Original photography taken onsite at the department along with real statistics from the prior year—as well as personal storytelling—served to identify the impact of the department on a yearly basis. Sponsorship levels were created that demonstrated the cost of fire fighting equipment and the need for donations to offset those costs, making the need relatable to the average donor.
The mail piece was directed to both households and businesses alike and social posts were geo-targeted to only include the USCVFD service area and nearby communities with ties to Upper St. Clair.
In addition, the department updated their accounting platform to streamline the donation receiving process. This made it both easier to accept donations and reduce processing costs and time, allowing the department to use more of their donations on equipment instead of administration costs.
The new platform also allowed for the department to create a database more easily suited to accepting installment donations and yearly renewals.
Imperial, PA Fundraising Campaign
Similar to the example above, the Imperial Volunteer Fire Department was in need of a more effective fundraising message. While not a membership style campaign, the department wanted to show their importance to their community through the use of an infographic piece to be distributed at all public events in the area.
The example on the right shows a letter-sized flyer used for both print and social media portions of the campaign that emphasizes the need to have a well-funded fire department that can respond to the difficult conditions of modern fire fighting.
In this campaign, the relevant statistics were about the current conditions that face both fire fighters and the departments the volunteer for: Less time to respond, less firefighters and the extensive training needed to field an experienced group of volunteers.
